Breastfeeding
The WIC Program promotes breastfeeding as the optimal and preferred method of infant feeding. Breastfeeding provides better health, nutrition, immunological and developmental benefits to both mother and infant.
WIC provides breastfeeding information, support and assistance on an individual basis when needed, education materials and a positive clinic environment which endorses breastfeeding as the preferred method of infant feeding.
