What is EQC Laboratories?
Environmental Quality Control (EQC) Laboratories is part of the Bureau of Environmental Services (BES). Basic services include environmental monitoring, sample analysis, data management, and certification of environmental laboratories. The State Quality Assurance Management Office (SQAMO) is also housed within the EQC Laboratories. SQAMO has been delegated authority and responsibility for the Agency's Quality Assurance Management Program.
What do the laboratories do?
They provide laboratory services, environmental laboratory certification, and quality assurance support to various EQC programs and to the public. EQC Laboratories is separated into four areas: the Office of Environmental Laboratory Certification, Division of Air Quality Analysis (DAQA), Analytical and Radiological Environmental Services Division (ARESD), and the State Office of Quality Assurance (SQAMO).
